3 Books For New Real Estate Agents

“Don't Reinvent the Wheel”

These books are an opportunity for you to spring forward without having to learn some hard lessons first hand. That knowledge is POWER. Real Estate is a career where time is valuable and that old expression is why I highly recommend these three books to all new agents or those thinking of a switch.

Here is a quick list and links if your in a hurry....

Setting time every day to focus on building yourself pays huge dividends.  It shows that you understand the value of your worth while teaching you to set boundaries in your professional career.

Most of us live in a daily routine, and I am no exception. Every morning I arrive at the office 30 minutes before everybody else, make a cup of coffee, and I read. This simple habit not only sets the benchmark to start my day but the knowledge gained from reading allows me to maximize my performance.

The Books.....

One of my personal favorites.  Ryan Serhant is a Broker that embraces technology, understands customer experience, and is an expert at controlling his time.

This was one of the first books I read after getting into real estate and it’s highly motivational.  Ryan explains how to effectively manage your schedule and think outside the box.

His personality genuinely comes through and it will have you laughing.  His journey is easily relatable as he explains in full detail his difficult journey from nothing to one of the top producers in real estate.

I like to mention this book first because he also has loads of content on YouTube and is a great way to start discovering more experts.

This is a book that will truly help you embrace your sales skills, or lack there of and teach you to be better. Grant provides a completely different point of view in Sell or Be Sold and makes the reader understand how business and life are both intertwined through the art of sales.  As a successful investor he gives an understanding into real estate as seen from the consumer and not that of a Broker.  This book will leave you looking at both side of the conversation, wanting to understand the other persons thinking and motivations.

An amazing book that provides insight into the world of real estate investing.

Gaining experience in this specialty takes years but this book provides a solid foundation and a few cheat codes.

Coming from one of the most successful investors Brandon Turner explains very clearly how the world of investing is done.

After reading this book, you will have confidence in hitting the ground running while also being able to talk the lingo.

In conclusion…

Being great at real estate means you must never stop learning and I know this list will set you the on the right track.  We’re fortunate enough to live in a time where information is at our fingertips and not maximizing on that opportunity is setting yourself up for failure.  You’re gonna hit bumps along the road, but if you follow proven methods,

you’ll turn into a success, and not a statistic.
